- Is ShrinkHub HIPAA compliant?

In a word: no. ShrinkHub is currently concentrating on the United Kingdom market for counsellors and psychotherapists. However, we are looking into HIPAA compliance as something that we might be able to offer in the future.
That said, while we do not claim to be HIPAA compliant, we do believe that ShrinkHub meets all of the ‘Technical Safeguard’ and ‘Physical Safeguard’ criteria that would be required for compliance.
All of our data storage is handled by Business Associates (BAs) that are HIPAA compliant. However, as we do not have formal Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) in place, we cannot claim to meet the ‘Administrative Safeguard’ criteria that are required for full HIPAA compliance.
Our top priority is the security of our users’ data. We take a defense-in-depth approach to every aspect of our system, and keep abreast of the ever-changing landscape of online data security.
